Folks, came acrosss this site and being an Angaurian myself, I salute you all for the servcies you provided to the island and its people during your various time of duty in Angaur throughout the many years. while browsing this site, a lot of memories comes by during times in Angaur when the Station was still active and we,elementary students then, were invited to watch movies on sunday afternoons, oh what a treat that was to include on occasion we get to be served ice cream too. The station also played a big role in developing my career interest in technology as well. Once again THANK YOU ALL, AND GOD BLESS!

Thank you for the great website. I was the last Corpsman at Ocean Cape. Served from Jan 78 to Jan 80. Tons of great memories, a great crew and some pretty good fishing, too. Spent alot of time working at the clinic in Yakutat, after the Nurse Practitioner decided to make an unannounced permanent departure. Great experience for a CG Doc! Hope that all of the Decom crew is well. Would love to hear from any Ocean Cape alums. Thanks again for the site!
Peace and God bless

I was a RM3 stationed at Sangley Point Radio (NRX) 1969-1971. We maintained communications with the five loran stations in the Philippines (Naulo Point, Batan Island, Catanduanes, Talampulan, and Tarumpitao). We had two HU16E Albatross seaplanes to service the stations, so got to visit each station. Great site, brings back old memories.
