Station Mascot: 1948 First Class Throckmorton Percival Kauber Burton (a gibbon ape) He was transferred to the CG after he went AWOL from the Navy.

Station events: JUN - JUL 1945 | CG Mobile Detachment established the Loran transmitting Site. The UUS MENKAR delivery equipment and personnel to the island. Naval Battalion 113th, Detachment "F" consisting of 1 officer and 21 enlisted built a road the length of the island in support of the CG activities.

25 MAY 1948: Maureen O'Hara receiver a letter from a navy radar operator in Manila informing her that she has been selected the "Queen of Talampulan" in the district of Busuanga in the province of Palawan. (this was published in The M'Alester News-Capital (McAlester, Oklahoma).

27 AUG 1961: ET3 Frank T. Cole found asphyxiated due to drowning at south beach. Revived through the lifesaving method of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation by SN Thomas J. Lacey. Patient brought station treated for shock and evacuated. A Board of investigation into Frank Cole accident was conducted by LCDR William J Donnay.

01 NOV 1961: Station entertained the Honorable J. Gilmore Flores Assistant Secretary of the Treasury ADM Alfred C. Richmond (Commandant); RADM Allen Winbeck (Western Area); RADM Richard M. Ross (D14)

APR 1962 New fuel tanks installed

22 NOV 1963: During ADM Roland’s inspection of the station, at 1455 station received word of President John F. Kennedy’s death.

08 - 15 JAN 1964:
08 JAN A/C HU16E 7251 hit an underwater object which resulted in taking on water. Grounded plane on the reef. Station crew responded with buckets and patching material to assist the aircrew in dewatering plane.
09 JAN CGC NETTLE arrived on scene, COMPHILSEC on scene for Board of investigation.
15 JAN HU16E 7251 repaired and airborne in company of HU16E 7241 to Sangley Point.

05 MAR 1964: Assisted in a MEDIVAC of an accidental axe wounded local civilian victim.
